Kathy has been a welcome addition of the Community Development De- partment, both for the Planning and Building divisions. She has assisted the planners in "getting on track" with record keeping and project formatting, both of which were sorely lacking after a yearlong period of temporary secretaries. Changes in the buiiding division staffing have also provided additionai op- portunities for Kathy to learn new skilis and provide necessary back up to the building division clerical staff. Throughout the year, Kathy has taken on additional tasks willingiy as well as mastering her own job tasks. Based upon the position description, she is successfuily performing these tasks as weil as other not specifically articu- lated. She has been a quick learner and has been able to streamiine some administrative duties. Her personality has fit in well with the department; she is not easily fiustered and maintains an even kee0 during "rush" or "stress" times. She appears ta have a strong commitment to the department and her job as seen through her work. RECOMMENDATION Appoint Kathy Dennis to regular status employee.
